Chhattisgarh YuvaSuchnaKrantiYojna:

Chhattisgarh state government has proclaimed “Chhattisgarh YuvaSuchnaKrantiYojana 2017” under which it will provide free smartphones to the youth in the state. The state government has announced the scheme to promote digitization in the state and making the youth digitally literate.Under the scheme, the government would provide free smartphones to 45 Lakh youth in the state.

The distribution of free smartphones to 45 Lakh youth would cost the state government about Rs. 200 Crore. The government has set a budget of Rs. 80 Crore for distributing Laptops and Tablets under the SuchnaKrantiYojana 2017.

The decision of distribution of free smartphones under SuchnaKrantiYojana would help youth become digitally literate and more efficient in their everyday life.

 

SuchitaYojna:

The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Raman Singh has inaugurated a programme named as “SuchitaYojana” for planting automated sanitary napkin vending machines in all the government schools to inspire girls about their personal hygiene.

Sanitary Napkin ATM Vending Machines are being installed in government schools.

The scheme will cover around 2,000 high and higher secondary schools across the state.

For the disposal of these napkins, an Eco-friendly incinerator would also be installed in the schools which will further help in protecting the environment good.

In the start, around 7,200 napkins will be available free of cost and later these napkins would be provided at the nominal cost of Rs. 2/- per piece.

The machines would be installed inside the girl’s washroom in the schools.

The aim of SuchitaYojana is to encourage girls in maintaining personal and menstrual hygiene.

 

MukhyamantriShramik Ann SahaytaYojana – Free Lunch Scheme for Labourers:

Chhattisgarh Government has launched a new free lunch scheme named “MukhyamantriShramik Ann SahaytaYojana” for the unorganizedlaborers.

The state government has launched the free lunch scheme for the registered laborers in the unorganized sector in the state. The scheme will cover all the registered unorganized workers including the ones occupied in construction sector. The labor department of the state would provide food for free of cost to the laborers.

The unorganized workers not just work for their livelihood but they also help build the nation. The workers now need not to worry about the food after the launch of MukhyamantriShramik Ann SahaytaYojana in the state.

The unregistered labourers can get theme registered at the counters to be set-up near Gandhi Maidan in Raipur to avail the scheme benefits. The labor department of the state is already running 24 programs for the welfare of laborers in unorganized sector in the state.

MukhyamantriShramik Ann SahaytaYojana will soon be launched in other districts and towns of the state very soon. This is the first of its kind free lunch scheme in the entire country.

Saur SujalaYojana – Solar Irrigation Pumps for Farmers in Chhattisgarh:

Saur SujalaYojana is a new scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Chhattisgarh for farmers. Under the Saur SujalaYojana, the state government would provide solar powered irrigation pumps to farmers in Chhatisgarh.

The main objective of the Saur SujalaYojana is to empower farmers by providing them solar irrigation pumps at subsidized rates. The scheme is also aimed at fortify the agriculture and rural development in rural Chhattisgarh.

Under the Saur SujalaYojana, government would distribute solar powered irrigation pumps of 3HP and 5HP capacity worth Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 4.5 lakh respectively to the farmers. The pumps will be provided at the subsidized rates to farmers by 31 March 2019.

Under the Saur SujalaYojana, about 51000 farmers would be benefited in Chhattisgarh in next two years. The scheme would be implemented on priority basis in the areas where electricity has not reached yet.

The scheme would be implemented by CREDA (Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency) under the Department of Energy, Government of Chhattisgarh. Under the scheme, about 11000 solar pumps will be distributed to farmers in several zones in the state within the current financial year i.e. 2016-17.

Selection of the beneficiaries under the Saur SujalaYojana would be done by the department of agriculture of the state government. The farmers who have already been benefited under the bore well or pump scheme will be eligible for this scheme.
