CHHATTISGARH Empowered committee mulls establishment of C-Marts   Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain on Friday told officials to take necessary steps for effective implementation, monitoring and coordination to establish C-Marts in each district headquarter across the state. An official communication said that at a meeting of the empowered committee, Collectors were told to enlist and prepare details of the Self-Help Groups, weavers, artisans and cottage industries of their districts whose products would be on sale at the showrooms of C-Marts. CHHATTISGARH KaushalyaMatritvaYojana Chief Minister BhupeshBaghel of Chhattisgarh has launched the ‘KaushalyaMatritvaYojana’. On this occasion cheques of Rs 5,000 each were also given to five women beneficiaries for safe motherhood at a state-level conference. CHHATTISGARH 1.7 lakh kids become malnutrition-free in Chhattisgarh: Women and Child Development Citing a survey of women and child development, the state government claimed that the rate of child malnutrition has reduced to 19.86% from 30.13% in Chhattisgarh. In Chhattisgarh, nearly 1.70 lakh children have become free from malnutrition with the successful implementation of Mukhyamantri SuposhanAbhiyaan (Chief Minister’s Nutrition Campaign) which started on October 2, 2019, said officials. CHHATTISGARH Govt to give ₹20k to first two daughters of labourers The Chhattisgarh government has decided to give financial assistance of Rs 20,000 each to the first two daughters of labourer families for their education, employment and marriage. Chief minister BhupeshBaghel had announced the scheme on Republic Day. To apply under ‘Noni SashaktikaranSahayataYojana’, a labourer must be a permanent resident of Chhattisgarh and registered with the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
