CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh ranks 13th in human trafficking, MP follows at 16th   The annual publication of National Crime Records Bureau’s ‘Crime in India-2016’ report released by Union home minister Rajnath Singh puts Chhattisgarh on 13th position in human trafficking cases reported while Madhya Pradesh ranks 16th in the nation.   Chhattisgarh contributing 0.84 % share with 68 cases reported in 2016 while the state ranks 12th when it comes to cases based on rate of cognizable crime.   Subsequently, there were 51 cases reported from MP in 2016 contributing 0.63 % share.   Madhya Pradesh had in all emerged as the third most unsecure state ... CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh Government bans Bursting of Firecrackers in Six of its Cities   The ChhattisgarhGovernment imposed a ban on the bursting of firecrackers in six of its cities, including the state capital Raipur, ahead of the wedding season from December 1st to January 31st. According to the statement issued by the State Environment Conservation Board, the decision has been taken to control the pollution, which increases during winters due to the direction of the wind. CHHATTISGARH   Creda to install solar home lighting in 22 dists   The Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) will install Solar Photovoltaic Home Lighting systems in 21 districts of the State.   It will also get installed Solar Photovoltaic High Mast Systems in eight districts of the State  besides several other locations, officials informed.   CREDA will also install Solar Photovoltaic Power Plants in six districts of Bastar division, officials informed .   The plants would be installed in Dantewada, Bastar, Sukma, Bijapur, Kondagaon and Kanker districts.   CREDA will also be installing solar photo voltaic water purification system ... CHHATTISGARH More long span bridges to come up in Chhattisgarh   The State Government will get done a series of survey, investigation, study and preparation of  Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for construction of long span bridges  within the jurisdiction of Chhattisgarh Road Development Corporation (CGRDC), officials informed. The PWD has also built 18 Railway over and under bridges in high density traffic areas in the State involving a cost of Rs 300 crore during the past 13 years, officials informed. CHHATTISGARH • Chhattisgarh to have tennis academy soon: Rama  Chief Minister Raman Singh on Monday announced that a tennis academy would be established in the State soon. CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh’s nature safari to be ready by 2019   The Chhattisgarh Government is in the process of developing  a ‘Nature Safari’ near Raipur on the lines of ‘Jungle Safari’ in Naya Raipur. The work on Nature Safari is expected to be completed by 2019.   The ‘Nature Safari’ is being developed on a sprawling 1450 acres of land at Mohrenga village about 40 kms from Raipur on Kharora-Tilda road. CHHATTISGARH C’garh gains major success in fight against malnutrition: govt   Chhattisgarh has garnered significant success in the battle against malnutrition within just five years. CHHATTISGARH TRACKING SYSTEM FOR INDRAVATI TIGER RESERVE SOON   The State Government will get installed Tracking and Monitoring applications in  Indravati Tiger Reserve soon.   The National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) has sanctioned ‘Bhoramdeo Wildlife Sanctuary’ spreading over 351.25 sq kms as ‘Tiger Reserve’ in Chhattisgarh. Five years ago, a proposal was sent to NTCA in this regard as there was tiger movement from Kanha National Park, Madhya Pradesh to Bhoramdeo Wildlife Sanctuary, officials informed. CHHATTISGARH Gis based sweeping of streets in bilaspur soon   The Bilaspur Municipal Corporation (BMC) will go for GIS based mechanical sweeping of streets under Smart City Mission, officials informed.   The BMC will be developing ‘Common Municipal Solid Waste Management Facility’ (CMSWMF) for treatment and disposal of municipal solid waste generated from domestic, commercial, industrial activities.     The solid waste being generated in the city is presently being openly disposed off in open dumping.
