CHHATTISGARH   Pmgsy road dev work for 2018-19 to begin soon   The State Government will soon start construction of roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) batch-I year 2018-19 , officials informed.   The State of Chhattisgarh has reported to have constructed 81 roads measuring length 410.42 Km under New Connectivity and 2 roads measuring length 8.25 Km roads under upgradation till December, 2017, the Central Government has informed.   As per PMGSY guidelines, maintenance of roads constructed under the programme is the responsibility of the State Governments and all road works are covered by initial five year ... CHHATTISGARH   Appointment of 11 parliamentary secretaries: Supreme Court notice to Chhattisgarh govt   The Supreme Court  declined to grant any interim relief on an appeal against a high court order dismissing pleas challenging the appointment of 11 parliamentary secretaries by the Raman Singh-led BJP government in Chhattisgarh.   The Chhattisgarh government had appointed 11 MLAs as parliamentary secretaries and granted them a status equivalent to state ministers.   SCsaid, the high court had failed to assess how the appointments were made when neither any provision of the Constitution, nor any statutory enactment allowed such appointments beyond a particular limit.   There was ... CHHATTISGARH   C’garh govt handpicks 36 start-ups under promotion programme.   The Chhattisgarh government has shortlisted 36 promising startups under its ambitious initiative launched last year to foster entrepreneurship and promote innovation.   Chief Minister Raman Singh  felicitated the startups selected under the first phase of the ‘Start-up Chhattisgarh Grand Challenge’ during an event organised here by Commerce and Industry department.   The chief minister also inaugurated “36 inc.”, the only incubator in the state sanctioned under Atal Innovation Mission.   Start up Chhattisgarh’ was launched last year with an aim to create an ecosystem that is conducive for growth of start-ups.   Under the first phase of the ...
