CHHATTISGARH Preserving Chhattisgarh’s tribal culture through dolls The women folk of Chhattisgarh craft doll and toys recently organised an event depicting handmade dolls made by the tribal s of Bastar region. The dolls were exhibited at Haat Bazar which was open for the public. The dolls are generally hollow and does not involve use of any tools. Whistle toys resembling the Bastar and tribal art , are very popular among the locals and tourists. CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh’s first governor D N Sahay passes away   Former governor of Chhattisgarh and Tripura Dinesh Nandan Sahay has died after prolonged illness. CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh’s nature safari to be ready by 2019   The Chhattisgarh Government is in the process of developing  a ‘Nature Safari’ near Raipur on the lines of ‘Jungle Safari’ in Naya Raipur. The work on Nature Safari is expected to be completed by 2019.   The ‘Nature Safari’ is being developed on a sprawling 1450 acres of land at Mohrenga village about 40 kms from Raipur on Kharora-Tilda road.
