CHHATTISGARH Rs 5.88 crore okayed for new irrigation projects   The State Government has approved sanction of Rs 5.88 crore for canal from Goda to Kusmi and micro irrigation project under Mahanadi project in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, officials informed.   The completion of projects would help irrigate Khatif crops cultivated in around 366 hectares of land.   A comprehensive and phased survey of more than 300 small irrigation projects for their full capacity utilization will be carried out in Chhattisgarh, officials informed.   The survey would be done for 1698 small irrigation projects , 766 anicuts , stop dams and 585 ... CHHATTISGARH 6000 km of fiber optic cables being laid: raman   Chief Minister  Raman Singh on Friday said that 6,000 kilometres of fiber cable network is being laid to uplink 10,000 gram panchayats via BharatNet project in the State.   Fifty lakh Smart phones will be distributed to women, farmers and college students under the Sky Project.   Citizens can take advantage of various social welfare schemes of the State Government through Smart phones. CHHATTISGARH CM announces creation of three more new tehsils   Chief Minister Raman Singh announced creation of three new tehsils Lawan, Gandai and Rengakaar  in the State. Singh while addressing a massive public meeting attended by Baiga tribals at Sahaspur Lohara late last evening said that Lohara tank will be beautified and new bank branch will be opened at Jalmala. CHHATTISGARH Issue of bill must on sale of goods worth rs 200   The Commercial Tax Department has made it mandatory for traders and shopkeepers to issue bills as per the rules on sale of goods worth Rs 200, under Goods and Services Tax Act (GST) 2017.   Officials informed that with an objective to prevent tax-evasion, e-way bill system has been introduced.     C’garh accepts punchhi commission recommendations   Chhattisgarh on Friday agreed to the recommendations of the Punchhi Commission on Centre-State relations regarding environment, natural resources and infrastructure, officials informed.   The standing committee had sought state government’s stand on recommendations made on volume 6 and 7 of Punchhi Commission report.   Notably, the Standing Committee of the Inter-State Council (ISC) headed by the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh completed the onerous task of deliberations on all the 273 recommendations of the Punchhi Commission. CHHATTISGARH Union cabinet nod to 1028 mobile tower locations in lwe regions   The proposal for a total of 1028 mobile tower locations have been approved by the Central Government for Chhattisgarh in 16 Left Wing Extremist (LWE) infested districts, the Central government has informed.   The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the “Universal Service Obligation Fund [USOF]” supported scheme to provide mobile services at 4072 tower locations identified by MHA in inhabited uncovered areas affected by Left Wing Extremism [LWE] of 96 districts in 10 States including Chhattisgarh for Phase-ll project.  The total project cost ...
