CHHATTISGARH C’garh bags award for being top gem buyer Government e-Marketplace (GeM), an online portal developed by the Central Government to ensure transparency and quality in government-related procurement, has awarded Chhattisgarh for being a top buyer of this platform. CHHATTISGARH 38 items filed in c’garh with investment worth rs 2,483 cr in 2017 A total of 38 Industrial Entrepreneurs Memorandum (IEM) were filed in Chhattisgarh with total investment of Rs 2,483 crore as on December 31, 2017. This was compared to 50 IEMs filed with proposed investment of Rs 11,853 crores during 2016-17, as per the annual report 2017-18 of the Department of Industrial Promotion and Policy (DIPP). The Chhattisgarh government has shortlisted 36 promising startups under its ambitious initiative launched last year to foster entrepreneurship and promote innovation. Chief Minister Raman Singh felicitated the startups selected under the first phase of the ‘Start-up Chhattisgarh Grand Challenge’ during an event organised here by Commerce and Industry department.
