CHHATTISGARH Rlys to set up 50 mw solar plant in bhilai   The Ministry of Railways has planned to set up a 50 MW solar plant at vacant railway land in Bhilai , the Central Government has informed. It has planned to set up 500 MW solar plants on land based system for meeting its Non-Traction and Traction requirements, mostly through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) using vacant Railway/private/Government lands . CHHATTISGARH 15 c’garh districts under brgf programme   Fifteen districts of Chhattisgarh have been covered  under Ministry of Panchayati Raj’s District component of Backward Regions Grant Fund (BRGF) Programme, the Central Government has informed.   The districts are namely– Bastar, Bijapur, Bilaspur, Dantewada, Dhamtari, Jashpur, Kabirdham, Kanker, Korba, Korea, Mahasammund, Narayanpur, Raigarh, Rajnandgaon and Sarguja covered under the BRGF Programme.   The backward districts under the BRGF Programme were selected on the basis of rank of backwardness on chosen parameters relating to income deprivation, health and education status, social backwardness and infrastructural inadequacy.   After the acceptance of the recommendations ... CHHATTISGARH Gram sabhas in 10,971 panchayats from Apr 14   Gram Sabhas will be organised in about 10,971 gram panchayats from April 14, the birth anniversary of  the architect of Indian Constitution Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar, according to Directorate of Panchayat.   Chief Minister Raman Singh appealed to the citizens of the State to participate in large numbers in the gram sabhas.   He added that it is a part of democracy to participate in the activities of gram panchayats where the concerned representatives give an account of the developmental activities. CHHATTISGARH   Govt starts survey to link rivers   The Chhattisgarh Government has commenced survey work for river inter-linking projects in the State, officials informed.   The Government has approved Rs 36.55 crore as the budget  for taking up the survey work for three projects during financial year 2018-19.   A total of five river inter-linking projects had been prepared in the State,They are- Mahanadi-Tandula, Pairi-Mahanadi, Rehar-Atem, Ahiran-Kharang and Hasdeo-Kawai.   Water Resources Minister Brijmohan Agrawal informed that there would be total filling of water in all irrigation dams from river waters. CHHATTISGARH Govt spending rs 100 cr to develop tribal tourism spots   The State Government is developing tourism facilities at a cost of Rs 100 crore under Central Government’s ‘Tribal Tourism Circuit’, officials informed.   The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) had been working at a ‘themed based’ development of the project.   The Central Government has put up the anticipated timeline for completion of the Tribal Tourism Circuit  in Chhattisgarh to be 2019-20.   The Tribal Tourism Circuit will provide an opportunity to the tourists to witness and experience tribal culture and traditions in Chhattisgarh, officials informed.   The key ... CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh govt develops two super speciality hospitals   Chhattisgarh Government in a bid to improve quality of health services is in the process of building two super speciality hospitals, officials informed.   Accordingly , the State Government will convert Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Science (CIMS), Bilaspur into the super speciality hospital under PMSSY Phase-IV.   Notably, the State Health Department has decided to establish the 450 bedded  super speciality hospital having all PG medical courses in Raipur.   The existing constructed building area for the proposed hospital is 20,00,000 square feet.The facility would comprise 250 bedded general ward, 100 ...
