CHHATTISGARH   PM safe maternity campaign’ a boon for state’   Prime Minister Safe Maternity Campaign’ is proving to be a boon for Chhattisgarh, officials informed.   As a result of better implementation of this scheme by Health and Family Welfare Department, till date 3.77 lakh pregnant women have been examined and provided medical treatment.   It is noteworthy that under this scheme, pregnant women are provided free medicines, after check-up.   Health Department officials informed that under Prime Minister Safe Maternity Campaign, check-up of more than 12,000 pregnant women was done on March 9. CHHATTISGARH C’garh second highest after kerala in male-female sex ratio   A NITI Aayog report issued recently has pointed out that Chhattisgarh holds second rank after Kerala in terms of male-female sex-ratio (at the time of birth), Health Department officials informed on Monday. CHHATTISGARH 74l lpg connections to poor in current fiscal: govt   About 7.74 lakh domestic cooking gas connections have been distributed to the poor women in Chhattisgarh under the Prime Minister ‘Ujjwala’ project during the current financial year , officials informed.   A total of 17.74 lakh  Below Poverty Line (BPL) level women have been allocated LPG cylinders since the launch of ‘Ujjwala’ project 19 months ago.   Ten lakh gas connections have been provided in the last fiscal 2016-2017. CHHATTISGARH RS 34.12 CRORE NOD FOR DISTRIBUTARIES CONSTRUCTION   Chhattisgarh Government has given administrative sanction of Rs 34.12 crore for reconstruction of miners, lining and other construction works of distributaries- 15 and 16 of Mahanadi main canal in Raipur district. These works will provide additional irrigation facility for 663 hectare area and total area of irrigation will expand to 12, 922 hectare area.
