CHHATTISGARH C’garh among 7 states to submit plan for tech education   Seven States including Chhattisgarh with a vision to rationalising the approval process of technical institutes have submitted plans to the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)  which has approved preparation of perspective plan for Technical Education at State level, the Central Government has informed.   The other States are Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana which have submitted their plans to AICTE.   AICTE doesn’t close down the Engineering Colleges on its own. CHHATTISGARH Govt spending rs 100 cr to develop tribal tourism spots   The State Government is developing tourism facilities at a cost of Rs 100 crore under Central Government’s ‘Tribal Tourism Circuit’, officials informed.   The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) had been working at a ‘themed based’ development of the project.   The Central Government has put up the anticipated timeline for completion of the Tribal Tourism Circuit  in Chhattisgarh to be 2019-20.   The Tribal Tourism Circuit will provide an opportunity to the tourists to witness and experience tribal culture and traditions in Chhattisgarh, officials informed.   The key ... CHHATTISGARH Rs 448.30 cr special assistance under tss in last 4 years   The Central Government has released Rs 448.30 crore to Chhattisgarh under Special Central Assistance (SCA) to Tribal Sub Scheme (TSS) during the last four years between 2014-15 to 2017-18, officials informed.   Notably, NITI Aayog has also given ‘in principle’ approval to various proposals related to roads, telecommunication, education, Ujjwala yojana and expansion of bank branches for overall development of Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region in January this year.   The Chief Secretary informed that ‘in principle’ approval has been given for construction of additional 600 km of roads ... CHHATTISGARH 5,987 c’garh villages to have wifi by 2019   Chief Secretary Ajay Singh chaired a meeting of State-level Co-ordination Committee for BharatNet Project Phase-II at the Mantralaya.   The Chief Secretary reviewed in detail the works taken up to ensure network connectivity of all villages in the State by 2019.   Singh directed the officials to submit the information on status of the project from district, block and village panchayat levels alongwith the assessment of connectivity speed within a forthnight.   He also directed Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society  (CHiPS) to hold training programmes at State an District levels.   ... CHHATTISGARH Govt to develop tourist spots in surguja forests   The State Government is planning to develop tourist destinations in forests of Surguja region, officials informed.
