CHHATTISGARH 15 c’garh districts under brgf programme   Fifteen districts of Chhattisgarh have been covered  under Ministry of Panchayati Raj’s District component of Backward Regions Grant Fund (BRGF) Programme, the Central Government has informed.   The districts are namely– Bastar, Bijapur, Bilaspur, Dantewada, Dhamtari, Jashpur, Kabirdham, Kanker, Korba, Korea, Mahasammund, Narayanpur, Raigarh, Rajnandgaon and Sarguja covered under the BRGF Programme.   The backward districts under the BRGF Programme were selected on the basis of rank of backwardness on chosen parameters relating to income deprivation, health and education status, social backwardness and infrastructural inadequacy.   After the acceptance of the recommendations ... CHHATTISGARH Bauxite exploration underway in six c’garh distts: centre   The exploration of bauxite mineral reserves had been going on in Kabirdham, Surguja, Balrampur, Jashpur, Kanker and Kondagaon districts of Chhattisgarh, the Central Government has informed.   The mining activities of major minerals including Bauxite, are regulated as per the provisions contained in Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) (MMDR) Act, 1957 and the rules framed thereunder. CHHATTISGARH C’garh second highest after kerala in male-female sex ratio   A NITI Aayog report issued recently has pointed out that Chhattisgarh holds second rank after Kerala in terms of male-female sex-ratio (at the time of birth), Health Department officials informed on Monday. As per the report of NITI aayog, male to female sex-ratio (at the time of birth) in Chhattisgarh state was found to be 1000 to 972 in year 2005-06 in National Family Health Survey-3, which increased to 1000 boys to 977 girls in National Family Health Survey-4 of year 2015-16.   Health Department Officials informed that according ... CHHATTISGARH 10 c’garh districts in niti aayog’s five-yr dev plan   A total of 10 districts of Chhattisgarh have been selected by NITI Aayog for its five-year plan (2018-22) among 115 districts in the country.   This information was given by Additional Chief Secretary, Economics and Statistics Department Sunil Kujur at a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Ajay Singh at the Mantralaya.   Kujur informed that the districts of Bastar, Bijapur, South Bastar (Dantewada), North Bastar (Kanker), Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Sukma, Korba, Rajnandgaon and Mahasasamund had been chosen by the Ayog for development in the areas of education, health, agriculture and ... Divisions and Districts of Chhattisgarh After Indian Independence, the princely states were merged with the Central Provinces and Berar to form the new state of Madhya Pradesh. Present-day Chhattisgarh comprised seven districts of Madhya Pradesh. The former states of Kanker and Bastar formed the new Bastar District, the parts of Surguja, Korea, and Chang Bhakar formed the new Surguja District, and the states of Nandgaon, Khairagarh, and Kawardha formed the new Rajnandgaon District.
