CHHATTISGARH 38 items filed in c’garh with investment worth rs 2,483 cr in 2017 A total of 38 Industrial Entrepreneurs Memorandum (IEM) were filed in Chhattisgarh with total investment of Rs 2,483 crore as on December 31, 2017. This was compared to 50 IEMs filed with proposed investment of Rs 11,853 crores during 2016-17, as per the annual report 2017-18 of the Department of Industrial Promotion and Policy (DIPP). CHHATTISGARH Mahanadi Dispute: Centre hands over ToR to tribunal chairman The Centre shared the terms of reference (ToR) of the Mahanadi Water Dispute Tribunal (MWDT) with its chairman and Supreme Court judge Justice A M Khanwilkar. Union water resources secretary UP Singh handed over the ToR to the tribunal chairman in New Delhi. CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh’s first governor D N Sahay passes away  Former governor of Chhattisgarh and Tripura Dinesh Nandan Sahay has died after prolonged illness. He was 82. Born in 1936, Sahay began his career with the Indian Police Service and rose to the position of the DGP of Bihar. He became the first Governor of Chhattisgarh after the state was carved out of Madhya Pradesh in 2000. CHHATTISGARH RS 34.12 CRORE NOD FOR DISTRIBUTARIES CONSTRUCTION  Chhattisgarh Government has given administrative sanction of Rs 34.12 crore for reconstruction of miners, lining and other construction works of distributaries- 15 and 16 of Mahanadi main canal in Raipur district. These works will provide additional irrigation facility for 663 hectare area and total area of irrigation will expand to 12, 922 hectare area.
