CHHATTISGARH Rlys to set up 50 mw solar plant in bhilai   The Ministry of Railways has planned to set up a 50 MW solar plant at vacant railway land in Bhilai , the Central Government has informed. It has planned to set up 500 MW solar plants on land based system for meeting its Non-Traction and Traction requirements, mostly through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) using vacant Railway/private/Government lands . CHHATTISGARH Gram sabhas in 10,971 panchayats from Apr 14   Gram Sabhas will be organised in about 10,971 gram panchayats from April 14, the birth anniversary of  the architect of Indian Constitution Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar, according to Directorate of Panchayat.   Chief Minister Raman Singh appealed to the citizens of the State to participate in large numbers in the gram sabhas.   He added that it is a part of democracy to participate in the activities of gram panchayats where the concerned representatives give an account of the developmental activities. CHHATTISGARH State has parched reservoirs: min   Chhattisgarh is among nine States in the country with less water in the reservoirs during the current year compared to last year, the Union Ministry of Water Resources has informed.   States having lesser storage than last year for corresponding period are Punjab, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.   The Central region includes States of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. CHHATTISGARH Five new rly line projects in pipeline: ministry   As many as five new railway line and six track doubling projects are in different stages of execution which fall partly or fully in the State of C’garh, the Union Railway Ministry has informed. Therefore, 19 projects of new lines and double tracks having a total cost of Rs  23,710 crore are in different stages of execution which fall partly or fully in the State of Chhattisgarh. CHHATTISGARH 42 persons died due to elephant attacks in c’garh this year:centre   A total of 42 persons have died due to elephant attacks in Chhattisgarh as on October 2017 in the current year (2017-18), the Union Ministry of Environment , Forests and Climate Change has informed. There is no elephant reserve project in the State of Chhattisgarh. One elephant reserve consisting of three sanctuaries was notified in the year 2011 which also includes Badalkhol Sanctuary of Jashpur district.
