CHHATTISGARH 5,987 c’garh villages to have wifi by 2019   Chief Secretary Ajay Singh chaired a meeting of State-level Co-ordination Committee for BharatNet Project Phase-II at the Mantralaya.   The Chief Secretary reviewed in detail the works taken up to ensure network connectivity of all villages in the State by 2019.   Singh directed the officials to submit the information on status of the project from district, block and village panchayat levels alongwith the assessment of connectivity speed within a forthnight.   He also directed Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society  (CHiPS) to hold training programmes at State an District levels.   ... CHHATTISGARH Centre okays setting up of tribunal for settling mahanadi water dispute   The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister  Narendra Modi has approved the proposal for adjudication of dispute on Mahanadi River waters.   The Tribunal shall determine water sharing among basin States on the basis of the overall availability of water in the complete Mahanadi basin, contribution of each State, the present utilization of water resources in each State and the potential for future development.   It is expected that with adjudication of dispute by the Tribunal, the long-pending dispute between States of Odisha and Chhattisgarh on ... CHHATTISGARH Route survey for bharat net phase-ii soon   The Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS), the nodal agency of Department of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of Chhattisgarh, will be getting route survey and Right of Way (RoW) clearance done for Bharat Net Phase-II project in the State, officials informed. CHHATTISGARH State govt to develop 3 regional airports   The Chhattisgarh Government has undertaken development of Bilaspur, Jagdalpur and Ambikapur airstrip under Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), officials informed.   A total Rs 76.50 crore has been sanctioned by Government of Chhattisgarh for development of Ambikapur, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur Airports uut of which, an amount of Rs 39.43 crore has been earmarked by the State government towards development of infrastructure at these airports.   In the financial year 2017-18, Airports Authority of India (AAI) has earmarked an amount of Rs 32.66 crore and has spent Rs 21.08 crore towards development of ...
