CHHATTISGARH Rs 5.88 crore okayed for new irrigation projects The State Government has approved sanction of Rs 5.88 crore for canal from Goda to Kusmi and micro irrigation project under Mahanadi project in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, officials informed. The completion of projects would help irrigate Khatif crops cultivated in around 366 hectares of land. A comprehensive and phased survey of more than 300 small irrigation projects for their full capacity utilization will be carried out in Chhattisgarh, officials informed. CHHATTISGARH Govt to carry out mass surveys of irrigation infra A comprehensive and phased survey of more than 300 small irrigation projects for their full capacity utilisation will be carried out in Chhattisgarh, officials informed. The survey would be done for 1698 small irrigation projects, 766 anicuts, stop dams and 585 diversion projects. The survey of canals and barrages would also be carried out. CHHATTISGARH Govt starts survey to link rivers The Chhattisgarh Government has commenced survey work for river inter-linking projects in the State, officials informed. The Government has approved Rs 36.55 crore as the budget for taking up the survey work for three projects during financial year 2018-19. A total of five river inter-linking projects had been prepared in the State,They are- Mahanadi-Tandula, Pairi-Mahanadi, Rehar-Atem, Ahiran-Kharang and Hasdeo-Kawai. CHHATTISGARH RS 34.12 CRORE NOD FOR DISTRIBUTARIES CONSTRUCTION Chhattisgarh Government has given administrative sanction of Rs 34.12 crore for reconstruction of miners, lining and other construction works of distributaries- 15 and 16 of Mahanadi main canal in Raipur district. These works will provide additional irrigation facility for 663 hectare area and total area of irrigation will expand to 12, 922 hectare area.
