CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh to hand over 9 CHCs to private players, opposition cries foul   Chhattisgarh government’s move to hand over nine government community health centre(CHCs), including four in the state capital, to private entities has drawn flak from the opposition parties. The opposition parties accused the BJP government of shying away from its responsibility to provide better health care to citizens. CHHATTISGARH   PM safe maternity campaign’ a boon for state’   Prime Minister Safe Maternity Campaign’ is proving to be a boon for Chhattisgarh, officials informed.   As a result of better implementation of this scheme by Health and Family Welfare Department, till date 3.77 lakh pregnant women have been examined and provided medical treatment.   It is noteworthy that under this scheme, pregnant women are provided free medicines, after check-up.   Health Department officials informed that under Prime Minister Safe Maternity Campaign, check-up of more than 12,000 pregnant women was done on March 9. CHHATTISGARH Green signal to 30 new govt colleges   Chief Minister Raman Singh approved opening of 30 new Government Colleges which will be started in upcoming academic session 2018-19.   Higher Education Department Minister Prem Prakash Pandey said that 105 new Government Colleges had been started during the past few years.   Fifty-eight colleges had been opened in remote and inaccessible regions of the State. CHHATTISGARH Govt to develop tourist spots in surguja forests   The State Government is planning to develop tourist destinations in forests of Surguja region, officials informed.
