CHHATTISGARH Gram sabhas in 10,971 panchayats from Apr 14  Gram Sabhas will be organised in about 10,971 gram panchayats from April 14, the birth anniversary of the architect of Indian Constitution Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar, according to Directorate of Panchayat. Chief Minister Raman Singh appealed to the citizens of the State to participate in large numbers in the gram sabhas. He added that it is a part of democracy to participate in the activities of gram panchayats where the concerned representatives give an account of the developmental activities. CHHATTISGARH  Govt starts survey to link rivers  The Chhattisgarh Government has commenced survey work for river inter-linking projects in the State, officials informed. The Government has approved Rs 36.55 crore as the budget for taking up the survey work for three projects during financial year 2018-19. A total of five river inter-linking projects had been prepared in the State,They are- Mahanadi-Tandula, Pairi-Mahanadi, Rehar-Atem, Ahiran-Kharang and Hasdeo-Kawai. CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh ranks 13th in human trafficking, MP follows at 16th  The annual publication of National Crime Records Bureau’s ‘Crime in India-2016’ report released by Union home minister Rajnath Singh puts Chhattisgarh on 13th position in human trafficking cases reported while Madhya Pradesh ranks 16th in the nation.
