CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh’s first governor D N Sahay passes away   Former governor of Chhattisgarh and Tripura Dinesh Nandan Sahay has died after prolonged illness. He was 82.   Born in 1936, Sahay began his career with the Indian Police Service and rose to the position of the DGP of Bihar.   He became the first Governor of Chhattisgarh after the state was carved out of Madhya Pradesh in 2000.   In 2003, Sahay took over as the Governor of Tripura and held the post till 2009.    INTERNATIONAL   ‘Aadhaar’ is Oxford’s first Hindi word of the year   Dictionaries ... CHHATTISGARH 74l lpg connections to poor in current fiscal: govt   About 7.74 lakh domestic cooking gas connections have been distributed to the poor women in Chhattisgarh under the Prime Minister ‘Ujjwala’ project during the current financial year , officials informed.   A total of 17.74 lakh  Below Poverty Line (BPL) level women have been allocated LPG cylinders since the launch of ‘Ujjwala’ project 19 months ago.   Ten lakh gas connections have been provided in the last fiscal 2016-2017.
