CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh east west rail corridor may complete by 2020   The Chhattisgarh East-West Rail Corridor project is expected to be complete by 2020, officials informed.   The proposed track from  Gevra Road to Pendra via Dipka, Katghora, Sindurgarh and Pasan has a length of 135 km, Urga- Kusmunda has a length of about 16 km and Feeder Lines of about 35 km. CHHATTISGARH   PM safe maternity campaign’ a boon for state’   Prime Minister Safe Maternity Campaign’ is proving to be a boon for Chhattisgarh, officials informed.   As a result of better implementation of this scheme by Health and Family Welfare Department, till date 3.77 lakh pregnant women have been examined and provided medical treatment.   It is noteworthy that under this scheme, pregnant women are provided free medicines, after check-up.   Health Department officials informed that under Prime Minister Safe Maternity Campaign, check-up of more than 12,000 pregnant women was done on March 9.   CHHATTISGARH   C’garh sets 8.38l domestic power connection distribution target   The Chhattisgarh Government under ‘Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana’ (Saubhagya Yojana) has a target to provide electricity connection to 8.38 lakh households of the state. For this, a proposal of Rs 838 crore has been sent to  the Central Government, officials informed. This included 67 villages of Sukma district, 23 villages of Bijapur district, and four villages of Dantewada district and one village in Narayanpur to grid.
