CHHATTISGARH Union cabinet nod to 1028 mobile tower locations in lwe regions The proposal for a total of 1028 mobile tower locations have been approved by the Central Government for Chhattisgarh in 16 Left Wing Extremist (LWE) infested districts, the Central government has informed. The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the “Universal Service Obligation Fund [USOF]” supported scheme to provide mobile services at 4072 tower locations identified by MHA in inhabited uncovered areas affected by Left Wing Extremism [LWE] of 96 districts in 10 States including Chhattisgarh for Phase-ll project. CHHATTISGARH CM opens toll-free service 104 for disabled Chief Minister Raman Singh launched a toll-free number 104 for the differently-abled, senior citizens, destitutes and transgenders at his official residence here. The facility was introduced by the Social Welfare Department. Singh called up on the toll-free number and congratulated the Call Attendant. Senior citizens, widows, destitutes and transgenders can avail the facility by just dialing toll-free number-104. The caller will be updated on the State Government policies. CHHATTISGARH Cabinet approves setting up of new AIIMS in Bilaspur The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given its approval for establishment of new AIIMS in Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh) under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). Similar demands kept cropping up at regular intervals; however, a well-organised movement was never launched. CHHATTISGARH 55l free mobile phone distribution from next month: raman Chief Minister Raman Singh on Saturday announced that the distribution of 55 lakh free mobile phone handsets under the State Government’s ‘Sky’ scheme will commence next month. The Chief Minister said that the basic aim of distributing free mobile handsets is to provide a boost to digital transactions.
