CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh announces 50k subsidy on e-rickshaw   Chief Minister Raman Singh on Sunday announced subsidy up to Rs 50,000 on purchase of e-rickshaw in state, through Lbaour Department.   Earlier Swarna Jayanti Rozgar Yojana was conducted for livelihood and self-employment in which participation of men and women were equal. CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh to hand over 9 CHCs to private players, opposition cries foul   Chhattisgarh government’s move to hand over nine government community health centre(CHCs), including four in the state capital, to private entities has drawn flak from the opposition parties. The opposition parties accused the BJP government of shying away from its responsibility to provide better health care to citizens. CHHATTISGARH C’garh among six states with more female prisoners in jails   Chhattisgarh, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal and Delhi had more female prisoners than the capacity of the respective jails as on December 31, 2016.   As per information compiled by National Crime Records Bureau, a total of 18498 female prisoners were lodged in different jails of the country against the available capacity of 26068 as on 31.12.2016. CHHATTISGARH Bharat net’ project to transform rural lives: CM   The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh Government and Central Government have inked a MoU of Bharat Net Project in the state capital today which will transform radically the lives of villagers in the near future. Six thousand gram panchayats will be connected with Internet. CHHATTISGARH Govt plans compensatory afforestation in bilaspur   The State Government will take up a massive compensatory afforestation exercise in Bilaspur district covering a total of 1000 hectares of  land.   The Government will soon carry out a survey of the areas where the exercise would be taken up, officials informed.   Chhattisgarh received Rs  280 crore under Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) during financial year 2016-17, the Central Government has informed.   Notably, the Central Government has approved 20,716 hectares of land for afforestation drive in Chhattisgarh during the last financial year under ‘Green India Mission’.The ... CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh Government bans Bursting of Firecrackers in Six of its Cities   The ChhattisgarhGovernment imposed a ban on the bursting of firecrackers in six of its cities, including the state capital Raipur, ahead of the wedding season from December 1st to January 31st. According to the statement issued by the State Environment Conservation Board, the decision has been taken to control the pollution, which increases during winters due to the direction of the wind.
