CHHATTISGARH Bhoramdev sanctuary not to be tiger reserve: min  The State Government has shelved its plan to declare Bhoramdev Sanctuary as a Tiger Reserve, Forest Minister Mahesh Gagda. The Minister said that the decision was taken in the interest of forest dwellers. Gagda also said that no forest dweller would be displaced from any forest village in the name of Tiger Reserve at the Bhoramdev Sanctuary. CHHATTISGARH Survey of river banks for plantation soon  Recently Chief Secretary had discussions on minor forest produce procurement, afforestation, wild life conservation, bonus to tendu patta collectors, herbal processing and several other issues. The Chief Secretary called upon the officials to conduct a survey of the river banks for conducting plantations. He stressed upon the bamboo production and tissue culture. CHHATTISGARH C’garh’s Paddy Procurement Drive To Begin From Nov 15  Chief Minister Raman Singh on Sunday announced that his Government had set up 1992 paddy procurement centres across the State to facilitate paddy procurement from 15.79 lakh farmers from November 15 till January 31.
