CHHATTISGARH C’garh second highest after kerala in male-female sex ratio   A NITI Aayog report issued recently has pointed out that Chhattisgarh holds second rank after Kerala in terms of male-female sex-ratio (at the time of birth), Health Department officials informed on Monday. CHHATTISGARH 74l lpg connections to poor in current fiscal: govt   About 7.74 lakh domestic cooking gas connections have been distributed to the poor women in Chhattisgarh under the Prime Minister ‘Ujjwala’ project during the current financial year , officials informed.   A total of 17.74 lakh  Below Poverty Line (BPL) level women have been allocated LPG cylinders since the launch of ‘Ujjwala’ project 19 months ago.   Ten lakh gas connections have been provided in the last fiscal 2016-2017. CHHATTISGARH Bharat net’ project to transform rural lives: CM   The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh Government and Central Government have inked a MoU of Bharat Net Project in the state capital today which will transform radically the lives of villagers in the near future. Six thousand gram panchayats will be connected with Internet. Villages will be benefitted from the several social welfare schemes of the Government with the launch of ultra-modern Internet connectivity, he said. CHHATTISGARH 42 persons died due to elephant attacks in c’garh this year:centre   A total of 42 persons have died due to elephant attacks in Chhattisgarh as on October 2017 in the current year (2017-18), the Union Ministry of Environment , Forests and Climate Change has informed. There is no elephant reserve project in the State of Chhattisgarh. One elephant reserve consisting of three sanctuaries was notified in the year 2011 which also includes Badalkhol Sanctuary of Jashpur district. CHHATTISGARH Phonetic values of caste groups in various dialects approved   The Cabinet has decided to give recognition to 85 phonetic values of 27 scheduled caste groups of Chhattisgarh. This will make it convenient for the  people of these castes to get caste certificates on the basis of phonetic values of the names of their castes, mentioned in the revenue records and other documents, in their local dialects.   This includes 66 phonetic values of 22 scheduled caste groups and 19 phonetic values of five groups of scheduled tribe.   The Chief Minister further informed that in Chhattisgarh, 42 caste ... CHHATTISGARH 55l free mobile phone distribution from next month: raman   Chief Minister Raman Singh on Saturday announced that the distribution of 55 lakh free mobile phone handsets under the State Government’s ‘Sky’ scheme will commence next month.   The Chief Minister said that the basic aim of distributing free mobile handsets is to provide a boost to digital transactions.   On the occasion, the Chief Minister distributed bonus to 97,000 Tendupatta pluckers amounting to Rs 24.58 crore online.   The Chief Minister said that mobile towers would be erected in villages to provide better telecommunications connectivity.   The insurgency ... CHHATTISGARH CM launches ‘bijli tihar’ from maoist hotbed bastar   Chief Minister Raman Singh launched the State-wide ‘Bonus Tihar’ from Mahupal Barai village near Bastar’s district headquarters Jagdalpur.   On the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated a 400/200 Kv power substation constructed at a cost of Rs 633 crore.This is the State’s third largest power substation inaugurated.    The Chief Minister had already inaugurated two more power sub stations at Raita village in Raipur district and Khedamara village in Durg district, officials informed.   Notably, Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Ltd (CSPDCL) is expected to procure power to the tune ...
