CHHATTISGARH Nmdc produced 1.57 mt of iron ore from c’garh mines   NMDC Ltd produced 1.57 million tonnes (MT) of iron ore from its Chhattisgarh-based mines as on April 30, 2018, the company informed in a regulatory filing.   The company is targetting to achieve 10 million tonnes of iron ore production per annum from each of its mines in Chhattisgarh by 2024-25, official sources informed.   It has also sought 7.116 hectares forest land diversion for its iron ore concentrate pipeline in Dantewada district of Bastar, they informed.   Notably, NMDC will also be seeking Right of Use (ROU) ... CHHATTISGARH   Govt starts survey to link rivers   The Chhattisgarh Government has commenced survey work for river inter-linking projects in the State, officials informed.   The Government has approved Rs 36.55 crore as the budget  for taking up the survey work for three projects during financial year 2018-19.   A total of five river inter-linking projects had been prepared in the State,They are- Mahanadi-Tandula, Pairi-Mahanadi, Rehar-Atem, Ahiran-Kharang and Hasdeo-Kawai.   Water Resources Minister Brijmohan Agrawal informed that there would be total filling of water in all irrigation dams from river waters. CHHATTISGARH Green signal to 30 new govt colleges   Chief Minister Raman Singh approved opening of 30 new Government Colleges which will be started in upcoming academic session 2018-19.   Higher Education Department Minister Prem Prakash Pandey said that 105 new Government Colleges had been started during the past few years.   Fifty-eight colleges had been opened in remote and inaccessible regions of the State.
