CHHATTISGARH Govt to develop tourist spots in surguja forests   The State Government is planning to develop tourist destinations in forests of Surguja region, officials informed. It may be recalled that the Chhattisgarh Government is also creating an ‘eco-ethnic’ tourist destination near the world famous Chitrakot water falls in Bastar region of the State, official sources informed.   Notably, the State exchanged MoUs worth Rs 12 crore for development of world-class tourist facilities during  ‘Incredible India Tourism Investors’ Summit (IITIS)-2016’ organised by the Ministry of Tourism in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industry and the Tourism Finance Corporation of India ... CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh tourism board to launch ‘tourism on wheels’ campaign   In an endeavour to promote and attract adventure tourism in form of ‘Bicycle Tourism,’ the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) is launching its campaign ‘Tourism on Wheels’.   Under the campaign, Tour-De-Raipur would be organised from January 14 while Tour-De-Chhattisgarh would be held from January 26.   The Tour-De-Chhattisgarh which is being organised with collaboration of Nagpur based organisation would start from Marine Drive on January 26.   The riders in it would have to travel around 400 kms via Sirpur, Barnavapara, Gagrel, Kondagaon, Chitrakot, Tirathgarh, Kutambsar and would end ... CHHATTISGARH Ctb to hold ‘tour de chhattisgarh’ in 2018   With a view to introducing the concept of bicycle tourism and leisure cycling in India, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) will be organizing the very first ‘Tour De Chhattisgarh’ – a four-day cycling event in the last week of January 2018.   The cycling enthusiasts will pedal their way through the lush green forests, lakeside and villages of south Chhattisgarh from January 26 to 29.
