Pattern of Revenue Expenditure In India, government expenditure – as per the provision in the Constitution – is divided into revenue expenditure and capital expenditure. However, the adoption of economic planning shifted emphasize on the division of expenditure into Plan and Non-Plan. The share of Non-Plan expenditure has remained close to 70% and that of Plan at 30% all these years. CHHATTISGARH C’garh preparing for launch of ‘gram swaraj mission’   The Chhattisgarh Government has commenced preparations for Central Government’s nation-wide launch of ‘Gram Swaraj Mission’ from April 14 to May 5.   The State Women and Child Development Department will organize several programmes  relating to the ‘National Nutrition Mission’ at gram sabhas of the panchayats.   Gram Sabhas in the State are a part of Gram Swaraj Mission. CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh govt’s proposed move to categorize private hospitals draws flak The private hospitals under Chhattisgarh Indian Medical Association (CIMA) have opposed the state government’s proposed move to categorize the private hospitals under the four categories- A, B, C and D based on the medical facilities being provided to the beneficiaries availing treatments under government schemes and insurance health covers.   Chhattisgarh’s IMA has pointed out that once the hospital will be labelled under B, C and D categories, the percentage of payments made under health smart cards will gradually decrease. CHHATTISGARH C’garh among six states with more female prisoners in jails   Chhattisgarh, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal and Delhi had more female prisoners than the capacity of the respective jails as on December 31, 2016.   As per information compiled by National Crime Records Bureau, a total of 18498 female prisoners were lodged in different jails of the country against the available capacity of 26068 as on 31.12.2016. CHHATTISGARH 54l quintal food grains allotted under pds: govt   Under State Government’s Public Distribution System (PDS), 20.54 lakh quintals of food grains have been allotted to all 27 districts of the state for February month, officials informed.   The allotment by Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Protection Department includes 18 lakh 28 thousand 644 quintals of rice, 40 thousand 590 quintals of wheat, 57 thousand 031 quintals of sugar, 47 thousand 601 quintals of chickpeas, and 80 thousand 833 quintals of iodine salt. CHHATTISGARH Govt gives nod to large irrigation projects in jashpur   The State Government has accorded administrative approval of Rs 15.96 crore for conducting survey for two proposed large irrigation projects in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh, officials informed.   The projects are Dandpani Large Reservoir and Shekharpur Irrigation projects.   Notably, Chhattisgarh has set an ambitious target of raising its irrigation potential to 3.2 million hectares by 2028, officials informed.   The State Government has ensured usage of nearly 73 per cent of the extended irrigation capacity which is far better than many other States of the country, officials stated. ... CHHATTISGARH Govt to develop tourist spots in surguja forests   The State Government is planning to develop tourist destinations in forests of Surguja region, officials informed.
