CHHATTISGARH 42 persons died due to elephant attacks in c’garh this year:centre A total of 42 persons have died due to elephant attacks in Chhattisgarh as on October 2017 in the current year (2017-18), the Union Ministry of Environment , Forests and Climate Change has informed. There is no elephant reserve project in the State of Chhattisgarh. One elephant reserve consisting of three sanctuaries was notified in the year 2011 which also includes Badalkhol Sanctuary of Jashpur district.
