CHHATTISGARH Kerala’s art comes to Raipur For the first time ever in Chhattisgarh, a state-level workshop on Kalaripayattu, a form of martial arts from Kerala, will be organised by Art Hulchal. The 15-day trading workshop will be held from March 10 to 25 in Raipur.   Kalaripayattu means practicing the arts of the battlefield. Kalari means battlefield and it is prevalent in Kerala. As a form of martial arts it is important both for girls as well as boys for self-protection. It also enhances focus. CHHATTISGARH Rs 448.30 cr special assistance under tss in last 4 years   The Central Government has released Rs 448.30 crore to Chhattisgarh under Special Central Assistance (SCA) to Tribal Sub Scheme (TSS) during the last four years between 2014-15 to 2017-18, officials informed.   Notably, NITI Aayog has also given ‘in principle’ approval to various proposals related to roads, telecommunication, education, Ujjwala yojana and expansion of bank branches for overall development of Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region in January this year.   The Chief Secretary informed that ‘in principle’ approval has been given for construction of additional 600 km of roads ... CHHATTISGARH Nabard to lend rs 29,245 cr for farm sector   The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) would lend Rs 29,245 crore for agriculture activities in Chhattisgarh with focus on ‘Per Drop More Crop’, Mudra and Skill India (MSME) and climate change in the coming financial year 2018-19.   The State Focus Paper (SFP) highlighting the same and containing farm credit of 29,245 crores   For doubling the income of farmers the NABARD has decided to strengthen the dairy sector in the state. CHHATTISGARH 5 new agriculture colleges to be set up in state: brijmohan   Five new agriculture colleges will come up in the State, Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal announced on Sunday at a national symposium held here at Indira Gandhi Agriculture University.   In the symposium, the Minister declared that new agriculture colleges would be opened in Kurud, Mahasamund, Balod, Korba and Jashpur. CHHATTISGARH State has parched reservoirs: min   Chhattisgarh is among nine States in the country with less water in the reservoirs during the current year compared to last year, the Union Ministry of Water Resources has informed.   States having lesser storage than last year for corresponding period are Punjab, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.   The Central region includes States of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. CHHATTISGARH State govt to develop 3 regional airports   The Chhattisgarh Government has undertaken development of Bilaspur, Jagdalpur and Ambikapur airstrip under Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), officials informed.   A total Rs 76.50 crore has been sanctioned by Government of Chhattisgarh for development of Ambikapur, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur Airports uut of which, an amount of Rs 39.43 crore has been earmarked by the State government towards development of infrastructure at these airports.   In the financial year 2017-18, Airports Authority of India (AAI) has earmarked an amount of Rs 32.66 crore and has spent Rs 21.08 crore towards development of ...
