CHHATTISGARH Kerala’s art comes to Raipur For the first time ever in Chhattisgarh, a state-level workshop on Kalaripayattu, a form of martial arts from Kerala, will be organised by Art Hulchal. The 15-day trading workshop will be held from March 10 to 25 in Raipur. Kalaripayattu means practicing the arts of the battlefield. Kalari means battlefield and it is prevalent in Kerala. As a form of martial arts it is important both for girls as well as boys for self-protection. It also enhances focus. CHHATTISGARH Rs 448.30 cr special assistance under tss in last 4 years  The Central Government has released Rs 448.30 crore to Chhattisgarh under Special Central Assistance (SCA) to Tribal Sub Scheme (TSS) during the last four years between 2014-15 to 2017-18, officials informed. Notably, NITI Aayog has also given ‘in principle’ approval to various proposals related to roads, telecommunication, education, Ujjwala yojana and expansion of bank branches for overall development of Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region in January this year. CHHATTISGARH 5 new agriculture colleges to be set up in state: brijmohan  Five new agriculture colleges will come up in the State, Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal announced on Sunday at a national symposium held here at Indira Gandhi Agriculture University.
