The total catchment area of the Mahanadi basin is 141,600 square kilometers, of which 54% is in Chhattisgarh, 46% in Odisha. CHHATTISGARH Cecb to set up ‘central environment laboratory’   The Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board (CECB) will  establish a ‘Central Environment Laboratory’ in the State, officials informed. The CECB is already in the process of preparing a concrete action plan for controlling pollution in the entire State including Raipur.
