‘Godhan Nyay Yojana’ gets national award
The ‘Award of Excellence” won by the “‘Godhan Nyay Yojana’ website and mobile application under digital governance category was handed over virtually.
The scheme is run by the Agriculture Department and the Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS) has developed the website and mobile application.
A leading IT company gave the award to Dr M. Geetha, Agriculture Production Commissioner, and Secretary in the Department of Agriculture virtually.
CHiPS Chief Executive Officer Sameer Vishnoi said in a statement that the website and mobile application has been developed in house within a short time and minimum cost.
Now, the beneficiaries (cow dung sellers) in the state receive the payment online. All details are provided. Around 2.18 lakh beneficiaries have been registered. The women self-help groups have been linked through apps.
It also provides information on conversion of cow dung to vermi-compost and its sales.
