Chhattisgarh: Landless labourers to get financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually under NYAY scheme

Chhattisgarhis all set to launch aNYAY Yojana a customized version of theCongresspartys much-publicised NYAY scheme for the rural landless <a href="https://exam.pscnotes.com/Agriculture-notes-for-state-psc-exams”>Agriculture labourers by providing a financial assistance of Rs 6,000 every year. Congress leaderRahul Gandhiwill launch the scheme by releasing the first instalment to 3.55 lakh beneficiaries at a function in Raipur on February 3.

Titled as ‘Rajiv Gandhi rural landless agri workers NYAY Yojana’, this is the third NYAY scheme of theBhupesh Baghelgovernment. The Congress-ruled state had earlier startedRajiv Gandhi Kisan NYAY Yojanafor providing agriculture input subsidy to the farmers and GodhanNYAY Yojana under which the state procures cow dung from cattle rearers at a price of Rs 2 per kg a unique scheme of its kind in the country.

Significantly, 70 per cent of the Population of Chhattisgarh is engaged in agricultural activities. A large number of agricultural labourers do not have their own agricultural land and work as labourers on the land of others to support their families. Hence, to improve the financial condition of the landless labourers in the state, chief minister Bhupesh Baghel announced the implementation ofRajiv Gandhirural landless agri workers NYAY Yojana.

As per revenue department officials, landless agricultural labourers were registered for the scheme from September 1, 2021, to November 30, 2021. Along with this, necessary guidelines were issued by the revenue and Disaster Management department to all the district collectors to identify the beneficiaries and provide them grants on annual basis. According to the information received from the department, so far 3.55 lakh beneficiaries have registered to take advantage of Rajiv Gandhi rural landless agri workers NYAY Yojana.
The eligibility under the scheme will be only for the native residents of Chhattisgarh. Under the rural landless agricultural labour families, families belonging to the including shepherds, carpenters, blacksmiths, cobblers, barbers, washermen and priests, forest produce collectors and other categories are will be upgraded from time to time will for its eligibility. The necessary condition for the beneficiaries of this scheme is that the beneficiary family should not have agricultural land. Land held for residential purposes will not be treated as agricultural land.

MPATGM Successfully Test Fired By DRDO

The DRDO successfully test-fired the MPATGM’s final delivery configuration On 11 January.

The Man-Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM) was successfully flight tested in its final “deliverable version” by the DEFENCE Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Bharat Dynamics Limited will manufacture MPATGM at their facilities in Bhanoor, .

MPATGM has already completed a comparable test with a maximum range of 4,000 meters.
