  • PMJAY pilot project begins in Chhattisgarh

 

 

  • Under Ayushman Bharat Yojana or National Health Protection Scheme as a pilot project Pradhan Mantri Jan Aryogya Yojana Abhiyan (PMJAY) was launched on Saturday midnight in Chhattisgarh. The services are being provided in 325 private and 608 Government hospitals, thus total 1033 hospitals across the State, which would provide the services.

 

 

  • Additional to it, on day one 245 persons called the 104 toll free number to seek information on the scheme. The hospitals have been registered under the scheme. The target in State of Chhattisgarh is to extend the scheme to 40 lakh families who can avail maximum upto Rs 5 lakh, as cashless treatment.

 

  • Each eligible beneficiary family is being provided Ayushman Card. During treatment if the patient faces any problem, in the hospital, one ‘Ayush Mitra’ has been deputed, through him the assistance can be obtained.
