CHHATTISGARH Centre may apply for adb loan for c’garh road connectivity   The Central Government is planning to apply for a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the Chhattisgarh Road Connectivity Project , official sources informed.   The project will improve road connectivity in the state of Chhattisgarh by rehabilitating and upgrading state highways and major district roads (MDRs) with an aggregate length of about 900 km. The project will also include enhancements on road maintenance, road safety, and innovations. CHHATTISGARH One new anicut, stop-dam approved in state   State Government has given administrative sanction of Rs 2.96 crore for construction of Sonpuri Anicut on Moharengiya Nala of Bemetara district.   On completion of Anicut scheme will provide irrigation facility in 150 hectares area.   The  Government has also sanctioned Rs 2.90 crore for construction of Dadjara stop-dam on Dontunala of Berla block in Bemetara district.   On completion of scheme will provide irrigation facility on 65 hectares area.   The State Government had recently also approved Rs 52 crore for various irrigation projects  including other similar projects related to ... CHHATTISGARH 16 model fertilizer retail shops in c’garh   A total of 16  Model Fertilizer Retail shops have been opened in Chhattisgarh so far, the Central Government has informed.   During Budget 2016-17, it was announced that over a period of three years, 2000 Model Fertilizer Retail Shops would be opened across the country. The target has been achieved and 2044 Model Fertilizer Retail Shops have been made operational.   Model Fertilizer Retail Shops provide mandatory services like selling of quality fertilizers at genuine rates, soil testing, seed testing, promotion of balanced use of nutrients etc. Some optional services are ... CHHATTISGARH Rs 338.95 cr to chhattisgarh under pmgsy in 2017-18 : centre   The Central Government has provided a sum of Rs.338.95 crore to Chhattisgarh so far during the current financial year 2017-18 under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).   The State of Chhattisgarh has reported to have constructed 81 roads measuring length 410.42 Km under New Connectivity and 2 roads measuring length 8.25 Km roads under upgradation till December, 2017, the Central Government has informed.   The above funds have not been utilized for repairing the roads constructed earlier.   As per PMGSY guidelines, maintenance of roads constructed ... CHHATTISGARH Rs 75,000 cr worth of paddy purchased in last 14 years   The member of Legislature Shivratan Sharma stated that during the past 14 years, Rs  75,000 crore worth of paddy was purchased by the State Government from farmers.   He said that 18 lakh people have been offered LPG connections in the State so far against a target of 35 lakhs.   Sixty two per cent of the people have been offered LPG connections so far , he said.   Eighty two per cent of the people in the State are being provided ration by the State government, ... CHHATTISGARH Govt not to use panchayat fund for sky   In a major decision, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister announced that the funds granted by 14th Finance Commission for development and welfare of panchayats would not be utilised in the Sanchar Kranti Yojana (SKY) scheme.
