CHHATTISGARH 48l students given laptops, tablets, claims govt The State Government under the Chhattisgarh Yuva Soochna Kranti Yojana has distributed laptops and tablets to more than 1.48 lakh students so far, officials said. Distribution of laptops to 17,000 students of academic session 2017-18 is in progress, they informed. Under this scheme, the money for the purchase of laptops and tablets was transferred directly into the savings account of students in year 2015-16. CHHATTISGARH Govt gives nod to large irrigation projects in jashpur The State Government has accorded administrative approval of Rs 15.96 crore for conducting survey for two proposed large irrigation projects in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh, officials informed. The projects are Dandpani Large Reservoir and Shekharpur Irrigation projects. Notably, Chhattisgarh has set an ambitious target of raising its irrigation potential to 3.2 million hectares by 2028, officials informed.
