CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh announces 50k subsidy on e-rickshaw   Chief Minister Raman Singh on Sunday announced subsidy up to Rs 50,000 on purchase of e-rickshaw in state, through Lbaour Department.   Earlier Swarna Jayanti Rozgar Yojana was conducted for livelihood and self-employment in which participation of men and women were equal. Now it has been named as ‘Bihaan’, which means ‘morning’. This scheme has been entirely dedicated to women. CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh’s first governor D N Sahay passes away   Former governor of Chhattisgarh and Tripura Dinesh Nandan Sahay has died after prolonged illness. He was 82.   Born in 1936, Sahay began his career with the Indian Police Service and rose to the position of the DGP of Bihar.   He became the first Governor of Chhattisgarh after the state was carved out of Madhya Pradesh in 2000.   In 2003, Sahay took over as the Governor of Tripura and held the post till 2009.    INTERNATIONAL   ‘Aadhaar’ is Oxford’s first Hindi word of the year   Dictionaries ... CHHATTISGARH Bhilai gets chhattisgarh’s 2nd amrit pharmacy   Chhattisgarh’s second AMRIT pharmacy was inaugurated by  Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) in a sustained bid to provide lifesaving drugs and surgical disposables for life threatening diseases like cancer and heart diseases.   A flagship initiative of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the AMRIT (Affordable Medicines and Reliable Implants for Treatment) pharmacy was launched at AIIMS, New Delhi in November 2015 with the object of providing affordable medicines for treatment of cancer, cardio-vascular and other diseases. CHHATTISGARH C’garh govt identifies guma limestone block for auction   The Mineral Resources Department of  Chhattisgarh Government has identified the Guma limestone block for the purpose of grant of Mining Lease in 249.49 hectares in Palari tehsil of Baloda Bazar – Bhatapara district for specified end use of clinker/ cement through electronic auction.   Notably, Chhattisgarh Government had confirmed two limestone blocks and one Bauxite block ready for auction last year, the Central Government has informed.   Notably, the Ministry of Mines was monitoring the process very closely with the state governments. CHHATTISGARH Survey of river banks for plantation soon   Recently Chief Secretary had discussions on minor forest produce procurement, afforestation, wild life conservation, bonus to tendu patta collectors, herbal processing and several other issues.   The Chief Secretary called upon the officials to conduct a survey of the river banks for conducting plantations.   He stressed upon the bamboo production and tissue culture. CHHATTISGARH 5 new agriculture colleges to be set up in state: brijmohan   Five new agriculture colleges will come up in the State, Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal announced on Sunday at a national symposium held here at Indira Gandhi Agriculture University.   In the symposium, the Minister declared that new agriculture colleges would be opened in Kurud, Mahasamund, Balod, Korba and Jashpur.
