CHHATTISGARH CM opens toll-free service 104 for disabled   Chief Minister Raman Singh launched a toll-free number 104 for the differently-abled, senior citizens, destitutes and transgenders at his official residence here.   The facility was introduced by the Social Welfare Department. Singh called up on the toll-free number and congratulated the Call Attendant.   Senior citizens, widows, destitutes and transgenders can avail  the facility by just dialing toll-free number-104. CHHATTISGARH Representation panel on retirement soon   Chief Minister  Raman Singh chaired a Cabinet meeting and decided to consider the representations of Government servants in the matter of compulsory retirement.   A circular will be issued for giving opportunity of representation against the order of compulsory retirement after Government servants reach age of 50 years or completing 20 years of service. CHHATTISGARH Vayosri yojana’ to be launched in three dists   Union Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry had launched ‘Vayosri Yojana’ for supplying any aid to senior citizens as per their requirements.The project will be launched at Bilaspur, Raigarh and  Janjgir-Champa districts, the Central Government has informed.   About 520 senior citizens in Raipur, 480 senior citizens in Bastar and 322 senior citizens in Bijapur had been identified for the scheme.   Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched ‘Vayosri Yojana’ and gifted hearing aid to senior citizen at village Jangla district Bijapur on April 14.   As per the Census figures ... CHHATTISGARH Rlys to set up 50 mw solar plant in bhilai   The Ministry of Railways has planned to set up a 50 MW solar plant at vacant railway land in Bhilai , the Central Government has informed. It has planned to set up 500 MW solar plants on land based system for meeting its Non-Traction and Traction requirements, mostly through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) using vacant Railway/private/Government lands . CHHATTISGARH All govt hospitals must have sewerage treatment plant   Chief Secretary Ajay Singh has directed officials to establish 32 Kv power transmission line to meet the rising power supply demand of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Raipur.   In a review meeting held at the Mantralaya, the Chief Secretary directed that the officials must ensure pure drinking water for patients in all government hospitals of the State.   He also directed that all government hospitals must have proper arrangement for disposal of bio medical waste and should have sewerage treatment plant. CHHATTISGARH 48l students given laptops, tablets, claims govt   The State Government under the Chhattisgarh Yuva Soochna Kranti Yojana has distributed laptops and tablets to more than  1.48 lakh students so far, officials said.   Distribution of laptops to 17,000 students of academic session 2017-18 is in progress, they informed.   Under this scheme, the money for the purchase of laptops and tablets was transferred directly into the savings account of students in year 2015-16.   In the academic session 2016-17,  a total of 16,804 students were provided laptops and a total 62,124 students were provided tablets.   In the ... CHHATTISGARH     C’garh sets 8.38l domestic power connection distribution target   The Chhattisgarh Government under ‘Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana’ (Saubhagya Yojana) has a target to provide electricity connection to 8.38 lakh households of the state. For this, a proposal of Rs 838 crore has been sent to  the Central Government, officials informed. CHHATTISGARH Govt gives nod to large irrigation projects in jashpur   The State Government has accorded administrative approval of Rs 15.96 crore for conducting survey for two proposed large irrigation projects in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh, officials informed.   The projects are Dandpani Large Reservoir and Shekharpur Irrigation projects.   Notably, Chhattisgarh has set an ambitious target of raising its irrigation potential to 3.2 million hectares by 2028, officials informed.   The State Government has ensured usage of nearly 73 per cent of the extended irrigation capacity which is far better than many other States of the country, officials stated. ... CHHATTISGARH Plan to include all disabilities in health insurance schemes   Master plan to include differently abled persons in various health insurance schemes is on the anvil according to state planning commission, officials informed.   Chief minister  raman singh is keen on including all category of disabilities in the insurance scheme. CHHATTISGARH 55l free mobile phone distribution from next month: raman   Chief Minister Raman Singh on Saturday announced that the distribution of 55 lakh free mobile phone handsets under the State Government’s ‘Sky’ scheme will commence next month.   The Chief Minister said that the basic aim of distributing free mobile handsets is to provide a boost to digital transactions.   On the occasion, the Chief Minister distributed bonus to 97,000 Tendupatta pluckers amounting to Rs 24.58 crore online.   The Chief Minister said that mobile towers would be erected in villages to provide better telecommunications connectivity.   The insurgency ...
