CHHATTISGARH Union cabinet nod to 1028 mobile tower locations in lwe regions   The proposal for a total of 1028 mobile tower locations have been approved by the Central Government for Chhattisgarh in 16 Left Wing Extremist (LWE) infested districts, the Central government has informed.   The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the “Universal Service Obligation Fund [USOF]” supported scheme to provide mobile services at 4072 tower locations identified by MHA in inhabited uncovered areas affected by Left Wing Extremism [LWE] of 96 districts in 10 States including Chhattisgarh for Phase-ll project.  The total project cost ... CHHATTISGARH Govt spending rs 100 cr to develop tribal tourism spots   The State Government is developing tourism facilities at a cost of Rs 100 crore under Central Government’s ‘Tribal Tourism Circuit’, officials informed.   The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) had been working at a ‘themed based’ development of the project.   The Central Government has put up the anticipated timeline for completion of the Tribal Tourism Circuit  in Chhattisgarh to be 2019-20.   The Tribal Tourism Circuit will provide an opportunity to the tourists to witness and experience tribal culture and traditions in Chhattisgarh, officials informed.   The key ... CHHATTISGARH 48l students given laptops, tablets, claims govt   The State Government under the Chhattisgarh Yuva Soochna Kranti Yojana has distributed laptops and tablets to more than  1.48 lakh students so far, officials said.   Distribution of laptops to 17,000 students of academic session 2017-18 is in progress, they informed.   Under this scheme, the money for the purchase of laptops and tablets was transferred directly into the savings account of students in year 2015-16.   In the academic session 2016-17,  a total of 16,804 students were provided laptops and a total 62,124 students were provided tablets.   In the ... CHHATTISGARH Rs 338.95 cr to chhattisgarh under pmgsy in 2017-18 : centre   The Central Government has provided a sum of Rs.338.95 crore to Chhattisgarh so far during the current financial year 2017-18 under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).   The State of Chhattisgarh has reported to have constructed 81 roads measuring length 410.42 Km under New Connectivity and 2 roads measuring length 8.25 Km roads under upgradation till December, 2017, the Central Government has informed.   The above funds have not been utilized for repairing the roads constructed earlier.   As per PMGSY guidelines, maintenance of roads constructed ...
