CHHATTISGARH Govt to hold ‘gram sabhas’ in 19 districts   The Chhattisgarh Government has decided to organize Gram Sabhas in 85 tribal dominated development blocks of 19 districts, which are included under fifth notification of PESA Act, on June 10 and 11.   Gram Sabhas will be organized in 5055 Gram Panchayats of these blocks, wherein information regarding the achievements and the schemes of Food, Civil Supply Department, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Forest Department and Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, along with the schemes conducted by Central Government and State Government will be provided.   In compliance to ... CHHATTISGARH Rs 5.88 crore okayed for new irrigation projects   The State Government has approved sanction of Rs 5.88 crore for canal from Goda to Kusmi and micro irrigation project under Mahanadi project in Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, officials informed.   The completion of projects would help irrigate Khatif crops cultivated in around 366 hectares of land.   A comprehensive and phased survey of more than 300 small irrigation projects for their full capacity utilization will be carried out in Chhattisgarh, officials informed.   The survey would be done for 1698 small irrigation projects , 766 anicuts , stop dams and 585 ...
