 CHHATTISGARH  C’garh sets 8.38l domestic power connection distribution target  The Chhattisgarh Government under ‘Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana’ (Saubhagya Yojana) has a target to provide electricity connection to 8.38 lakh households of the state. For this, a proposal of Rs 838 crore has been sent to the Central Government, officials informed. This included 67 villages of Sukma district, 23 villages of Bijapur district, and four villages of Dantewada district and one village in Narayanpur to grid. CHHATTISGARH State to celebrate ‘bijli tihar’ on dec 12  The chhattisgarh government will celebrate ‘bijli tihar’ on december 12 on the completion of 14 years in office of chief minister raman singh . During the celebrations, 36 new power sub stations will be inaugurated which were constructed at a cost of rs 57.49 crore. CHHATTISGARH Creda To Install Solar-Based Water Purification Systems  Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Authority (CREDA) will be installing solar photo voltaic water purification system in various locations of the State. Notably, Chhattisgarh will procure additional power from renewable energy sources to the tune of approximately 700 MW by FY 2018.
