CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh east west rail corridor may complete by 2020   The Chhattisgarh East-West Rail Corridor project is expected to be complete by 2020, officials informed.   The proposed track from  Gevra Road to Pendra via Dipka, Katghora, Sindurgarh and Pasan has a length of 135 km, Urga- Kusmunda has a length of about 16 km and Feeder Lines of about 35 km. CHHATTISGARH     C’garh sets 8.38l domestic power connection distribution target   The Chhattisgarh Government under ‘Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana’ (Saubhagya Yojana) has a target to provide electricity connection to 8.38 lakh households of the state. For this, a proposal of Rs 838 crore has been sent to  the Central Government, officials informed. CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh tourism board to launch ‘tourism on wheels’ campaign   In an endeavour to promote and attract adventure tourism in form of ‘Bicycle Tourism,’ the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) is launching its campaign ‘Tourism on Wheels’.   Under the campaign, Tour-De-Raipur would be organised from January 14 while Tour-De-Chhattisgarh would be held from January 26.   The Tour-De-Chhattisgarh which is being organised with collaboration of Nagpur based organisation would start from Marine Drive on January 26.   The riders in it would have to travel around 400 kms via Sirpur, Barnavapara, Gagrel, Kondagaon, Chitrakot, Tirathgarh, Kutambsar and would end ... CHHATTISGARH Bharat net’ project to transform rural lives: CM   The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh Government and Central Government have inked a MoU of Bharat Net Project in the state capital today which will transform radically the lives of villagers in the near future. Six thousand gram panchayats will be connected with Internet. CHHATTISGARH 39,870 registered under noni suraksha yojana’   Nearly 39,870 daughters have been registered in Chhattisgarh under ‘Noni Suraksha Yojana’ in last quarters to three years.   This scheme was launched by Women and Child Development Department of State Government on April 1, 2014. CHHATTISGARH Five new rly line projects in pipeline: ministry   As many as five new railway line and six track doubling projects are in different stages of execution which fall partly or fully in the State of C’garh, the Union Railway Ministry has informed. Therefore, 19 projects of new lines and double tracks having a total cost of Rs  23,710 crore are in different stages of execution which fall partly or fully in the State of Chhattisgarh. CHHATTISGARH Govt plans compensatory afforestation in bilaspur   The State Government will take up a massive compensatory afforestation exercise in Bilaspur district covering a total of 1000 hectares of  land.   The Government will soon carry out a survey of the areas where the exercise would be taken up, officials informed.   Chhattisgarh received Rs  280 crore under Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) during financial year 2016-17, the Central Government has informed.   Notably, the Central Government has approved 20,716 hectares of land for afforestation drive in Chhattisgarh during the last financial year under ‘Green India Mission’.The ... CHHATTISGARH State to celebrate ‘bijli tihar’ on dec 12   The chhattisgarh government will celebrate ‘bijli tihar’ on december 12 on the completion of 14 years in office of chief minister raman singh .   During the celebrations, 36 new power sub stations will be inaugurated which were constructed at a cost of rs 57.49 crore.
