CHHATTISGARH C’garh sends 7 proposals under CRF scheme   A total of  seven proposals under the Central Road Fund (CRF) scheme have been received from Chhattisgarh relating to State Roads and National Highways, the Central Government has informed.   The seven estimates amounting to Rs 294.18 crore have been processed for approval, it informed.   Notably, a sum of Rs 1897 crore have been allocated for the construction of National Highways during the last three years in Chhattisgarh under head National Highway (Original) and National Highway Development Program – IV, the Central Government  informed last year.   There are 18 ... CHHATTISGARH   World-class ‘education city’ planned for Raipur   Chief Minister Raman Singh will be inaugurating works being started for a proposed ‘Education City’ to be built at Saddu locality in Raipur on March 4 at a cost of  Rs 20 crores, officials informed.   The Education City is to be developed by State Tribal and Scheduled Caste Welfare Department, officials informed.   The ‘Education City’ would also comprise a 500 seat residential hostel and would be built in a sprawling 18 acre campus.   The campus would also comprise a computer lab and smart classes.   CHHATTISGARH   C’garh sets 8.38l domestic power connection distribution target   The Chhattisgarh Government under ‘Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana’ (Saubhagya Yojana) has a target to provide electricity connection to 8.38 lakh households of the state. For this, a proposal of Rs 838 crore has been sent to  the Central Government, officials informed. This included 67 villages of Sukma district, 23 villages of Bijapur district, and four villages of Dantewada district and one village in Narayanpur to grid. CHHATTISGARH State govt to develop 3 regional airports   The Chhattisgarh Government has undertaken development of Bilaspur, Jagdalpur and Ambikapur airstrip under Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), officials informed.   A total Rs 76.50 crore has been sanctioned by Government of Chhattisgarh for development of Ambikapur, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur Airports uut of which, an amount of Rs 39.43 crore has been earmarked by the State government towards development of infrastructure at these airports.   In the financial year 2017-18, Airports Authority of India (AAI) has earmarked an amount of Rs 32.66 crore and has spent Rs 21.08 crore towards development of ... CHHATTISGARH Bill to acquire tribal land for dev. Schemes passed   The Chhattisgarh Assembly passed the Chhattisgarh Land Revenue Code (Amendment) bill which would facilitate the government to acquire tribal land for various development schemes.   After tabling the bill, the minister said that the amendment in the previous Act will ease the process of land acquisition in the tribal areas for various welfare schemes. CHHATTISGARH Govt puts off survey for new helipads across state   The Chhattisgarh Government has put off plans for now to get ‘Obstruction Limitation Surveys’ (OLS) done for new helipads across the State.   The tender has been recalled due to some unavoidable reasons, officials informed.   Chhattisgarh is aggressively focussing on development of three regional airports mainly Jagdalpur, Ambikapur and Raigarh under the Regional Connectivity Scheme of the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation, officials informed.   The State has already spent more than Rs 34 crore in the development of the aforesaid three air strips.   The State government ...
