Indian Constitution though originally had eight schedules at its commencements, Four more schedules were added by different amendments acts of the constitution, now making a total tally of twelve. CHHATTISGARH Phonetic values of caste groups in various dialects approved The Cabinet has decided to give recognition to 85 phonetic values of 27 scheduled caste groups of Chhattisgarh. This will make it convenient for the people of these castes to get caste certificates on the basis of phonetic values of the names of their castes, mentioned in the revenue records and other documents, in their local dialects.
