CHHATTISGARH 54l quintal food grains allotted under pds: govt   Under State Government’s Public Distribution System (PDS), 20.54 lakh quintals of food grains have been allotted to all 27 districts of the state for February month, officials informed.   The allotment by Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Protection Department includes 18 lakh 28 thousand 644 quintals of rice, 40 thousand 590 quintals of wheat, 57 thousand 031 quintals of sugar, 47 thousand 601 quintals of chickpeas, and 80 thousand 833 quintals of iodine salt. CHHATTISGARH Govt plans compensatory afforestation in bilaspur   The State Government will take up a massive compensatory afforestation exercise in Bilaspur district covering a total of 1000 hectares of  land.   The Government will soon carry out a survey of the areas where the exercise would be taken up, officials informed.   Chhattisgarh received Rs  280 crore under Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (CAMPA) during financial year 2016-17, the Central Government has informed.   Notably, the Central Government has approved 20,716 hectares of land for afforestation drive in Chhattisgarh during the last financial year under ‘Green India Mission’.The ... CHHATTISGARH Govt allocates 16.91l quintals rice for pds in December   The State Government under the Public Distribution System (PDS) allocated about 16.91 lakh  quintals of rice to 58 lakh ration card holders for the month of December in the entire State.   The allocation is meant for all the 27 districts, officials  informed.   Five cities of Chhattisgarh now have the Core-PDS system implemented involving a total of 484 ration shops, officials informed.   Chhattisgarh has achieved 100 per cent digitization of the Public Distribution System (PDS) beneficiaries database.   There are 23 other states in the country which ...
