    C’garh accepts punchhi commission recommendations   Chhattisgarh on Friday agreed to the recommendations of the Punchhi Commission on Centre-State relations regarding environment, natural resources and infrastructure, officials informed.   The standing committee had sought state government’s stand on recommendations made on volume 6 and 7 of Punchhi Commission report.   Notably, the Standing Committee of the Inter-State Council (ISC) headed by the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh completed the onerous task of deliberations on all the 273 recommendations of the Punchhi Commission. CHHATTISGARH Govt to carry out mass surveys of irrigation infra   A comprehensive and phased survey of more than 300 small irrigation projects for their full capacity utilisation will be carried out in Chhattisgarh, officials informed.   The survey would be done for 1698 small irrigation projects, 766 anicuts, stop dams and 585 diversion projects.   The survey of canals and barrages would also be carried out. CHHATTISGARH Chhattisgarh east west rail corridor may complete by 2020   The Chhattisgarh East-West Rail Corridor project is expected to be complete by 2020, officials informed.   The proposed track from  Gevra Road to Pendra via Dipka, Katghora, Sindurgarh and Pasan has a length of 135 km, Urga- Kusmunda has a length of about 16 km and Feeder Lines of about 35 km. CHHATTISGARH Centre may apply for adb loan for c’garh road connectivity   The Central Government is planning to apply for a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the Chhattisgarh Road Connectivity Project , official sources informed.   The project will improve road connectivity in the state of Chhattisgarh by rehabilitating and upgrading state highways and major district roads (MDRs) with an aggregate length of about 900 km. The project will also include enhancements on road maintenance, road safety, and innovations. CHHATTISGARH C’garh among 7 states to submit plan for tech education   Seven States including Chhattisgarh with a vision to rationalising the approval process of technical institutes have submitted plans to the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)  which has approved preparation of perspective plan for Technical Education at State level, the Central Government has informed.   The other States are Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana which have submitted their plans to AICTE.   AICTE doesn’t close down the Engineering Colleges on its own. CHHATTISGARH Vayosri yojana’ to be launched in three dists   Union Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry had launched ‘Vayosri Yojana’ for supplying any aid to senior citizens as per their requirements.The project will be launched at Bilaspur, Raigarh and  Janjgir-Champa districts, the Central Government has informed.   About 520 senior citizens in Raipur, 480 senior citizens in Bastar and 322 senior citizens in Bijapur had been identified for the scheme.   Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched ‘Vayosri Yojana’ and gifted hearing aid to senior citizen at village Jangla district Bijapur on April 14.   As per the Census figures ...
